As high maintenance as Pete Burns [01 Feb 2006|06:28pm]
Well this weeks been hard so far, had my bank card numbers stolen and someone's been purchasing electricals with it. They started with a 0.71 to bearshare.com, then two 15 purchases, then went for the hundreds, the bastards. Had to cancel my card and freeze my account. And all on the week I'm packing to leave Newcastle and having to pay close to grand out in advance on my new place.

Some drunken students from next door fell through my garage roof at four/five in the morning the other day whilst trying to walk on it! Bejesus! People living away from their parents for the first time.......... typical.

Blew through the bandwidth on my web site despite purchasing an extra 20 gigabytes just last week, so the server went down for about 11 hours yesterday until the month ticked over.

Trying to get a domain name trasfered away from the most 1995/96 minded hosting company I've ever come across. I did think hosting companies still tried to cling onto domains like they did back then!

Waited in for the gas/electric company to call round today as had been arranged; and typically they didn't turn up.

At least I'm too easy going to be high maintenance myself; and boy do I know a few people that aren't! (as I stand in such contradictory high moral judgment of other)

George W. Bush contracts degenerative disease [09 Jan 2006|01:44pm]
There has been some speculation on the net over the past few days about George Bush appearing to be drunk during a speech with some speculating it's actually pre-senile dementia. My guess on the subject is that he's actually got Dudley Moore Disease, you know the degenrative one where you can appear to act like you're drunk (I can't be arsed to google for the real name but I'm sure it'll not be as catchy as Dudley Moore Disease (DMD)). Dudley got labeled a chronic alcoholic for years before he made his disease public.

David Cameron DRM [09 Jan 2006|10:30am]
In a vain attempt to look hip/hep the oh so youthful and charasmatic David Cameron (new leader of the Tory party) has recently stated that his wife bought him an iPod for Christmas onto which he's crammed a whole load of Bob Dylan songs. Hmmm, I wonder if he bought them from iTunes or ripped them from his Bob Dylan cd collection he's mention on occasions before.

Now let's assume the most likely option, that he transfered the songs from the cds he already owns. So, what's the Tory partys policy on DRM? They must be against it 'cos it would stop David from enjoying his Bob Dylan collection. If not they admit their ne leader David Cameron is an unmoral music pirate that is personally killing the music industry.

Going where the water tastes like wine [05 Jan 2006|06:17pm]
Moving time is fast approaching, I've find a place to live and move a couple of hundred miles within just over a months time. I hope I can find an unfurnished place as I hate living in a strangers bad taste.

Ulverston here I come. Hope I don't get too lonley, I only know one person living there and I'll be working for her!

Anyways...... a dvd screener of Narnia came out today so I'm watching that tonight. Usenet rocks, full dvd downloads in under two and a half hours.

Open your arms and show me the scars reflecting your pain [14 Dec 2005|05:11pm]
I'm thinking of getting some scarification done, or a branding. I like the idea of scarification more than tattoos, something being formed from normal scar tissue rather than foreign ink. Branding appeals but I think scarification holds more resonance for me.

Probably not as severe a piece as the following photo but you get the idea:

Indian kissing [09 Dec 2005|04:08pm]
Indian Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi has this month issued a statement to the Indian film industry: "I would like to inform members that kissing in films was earlier prohibited. But due to growing emergence of electronic media throughout the world, especially in the subcontinent, after careful consideration it has been admitted and permitted."

So on-screen kisses are no longer considered obscene. I wonder if gay kisses are ok too?

The Beach Boys sing Christmas [30 Nov 2005|11:20am]
Seeing as it's not even December yet here's some sickenly early christmas cheer. And what a perfect christmas album I came across last night, Brian Wilson's new 'What I Really Want For Christmas', it works so well, like the Beach Boys doing christmas carols! I'm almost in the mood already cos of this.

I just downloaded the Peanuts Christmas Specials DVD. Great! A Charlie Brown Christmas is so nostalgic for me, that poor little tree with the single borble......

Gentle will be all your steps as you walk beyond this valley [29 Nov 2005|04:35pm]

flash video stream

You could live your life by this. The best and most poingnent epilogue speech of all time:

The act of death has caused another life to be reborn.
Together, we share the wonder of human existence.
And let there be no doubt that all of us are brothers.
There can be no beginning or ending that does in some way not touch another.
For our actions affect the lives and destinies of the many.
Z-Man: He forgot that life has many levels...
...and by choosing to live on only one, lost sight of reality.
Ashley: Men were toys for her amusement.
Her total disregard for their feelings made love a stranger to her.
Lance Rocke: He never gave of himself.
Those who only take must be prepared to pay the highest price of all.
Porter Hall used his profession to mask selfish interests...
...to betray the trust|that should have been sacred.
Susan Lake: Perhaps too pure.
Excessive goodness can often blind us...
...to the human failings of those less perfect.
Emerson found that something as precious as love...
...brings with it a demand for greater understanding.
Casey and Roxanne: Light and shadow.
Theirs was not an evil relationship. But evil did come because of it.
Otto: An end to Martin Bormann?
Harris: He forgot that yesterday is only for remembering.
Those who choose to live there lose sight of tomorrow.
Pet's mistake: A fleeting thing, born of emotion...
...yet it almost ruined the lives of two others.
Randy's body: A cage for an animal. It lifted him to the top of his field...
...but in the end, the beast almost killed him.
And Kelly? Her selfish involvement...
...so ready to turn her back on friendship. The road back is painful.
But by her pain, she will never again forget.
You must each decide what your life will be.
You must always know that a hand extended to your fellow man...
...is a gesture of love.
Love that asks nothing, expects nothing. It is simply there.
And if love is in you, then gentle will be all your steps...
...as you walk beyond this valley.
